I don’t get very much mail but when I do I unsubscribe!
Normally I start with Catalog Choice to unsubscribe.
In this instance for TheHomeMag, the response was to opt out on their website so I went to their website.
So grateful that they made this easy. If you scroll down to the bottom of their website, there is an Unsubscribe option on the footer and you just type in your information. Type it in exactly as it is shown on the mail you received.
Requests can take up to 90 days to be processed through all the mailing cycles.
If you unsubscribe and clean up your mail as it comes in, you will have less that you have to process for recycling and trash.
This process fixes the issue at the front end by unsubscribing instead of the back end by just recycling. In the long run this will save you time and it also saves resources (paper and plastic). It will also reduce the need or desire to have recycling bins at your mailbox or in your mailroom.
