Easter Eggs

My neighborhood has an annual Egg Scramble every April. We always ask for donations of eggs with prizes inside. This year we did remember to collect as many empty eggs as we could at the event, but many eggs go home to be opened and played with later.

I put out a collection bucket to collect the after-the-event eggs. I know I’m stepping on Easter eggs so I figured other parents were as well and the collection is going well!

If you have the space to do something similar if your neighborhood has an annual egg hunt, this is a great way to reuse the eggs and perhaps save them from destruction throughout the year, and clear some clutter!

Any eggs that get broken or cracked should be recyclable in your single stream cart. The eggs are a hard/rigid plastic.

Austin Creative Reuse also accepts Easter eggs if you want to re-home them during the off season.
