Yard Sign Recycling! Here’s what I shared with my neighbors as a City of Austin Zero Waste Block Leader:
I will be accepting yard signs on my porch for the next few weeks or as long as I see the black collection containers at the RRDOC.
Please separate the metal legs from the plastic signage. They go into separate containers at the Recycle & Reuse Dropoff Center. Scrap Metal vs. Yard Signs 
Consider collecting signs for your neighbors or neighborhood to divert more materials from the landfill. 
Spring Cleaning: Don’t forget old school, worship, activist, or political signs in the garage, yard or attic.
Yard signs can be reused as shelf liners or taped/glued together to create bigger signs, bins, etc.
