Trash Receipt Paper. Most receipt paper is thermal paper, which is coated in chemicals and sometimes even BPA. So you’re going to want to throw that in the trash can, especially in Austin, Texas because that’s how we are instructed to handle them, and then you’re going to want to wash your hands after you’ve used receipts. If you have the option at the vendor or the store, have it emailed to you instead.
The longer you hold onto papers, the grosser they get. More crumbs, more bugs, more dust, etc.
