Zero Waste Block Leader Idea: Collect yard signs of any kind on your porch, patio or at your front door and allow neighbors to take some if they want them. We can take them to the Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center – these cannot go in your blue carts, to be recycled and sometimes creative reuse centers may be able to take them, but they’re usually a limit due to the volume during election time.
My neighbor, Ted H., had a great idea to use yard signs as shelf liners in the garage. Apparently the slick coating helps the bins slide off the shelves.
