Contact lens material (lenses and blister packs) can be recycled at Envision Eye Center in Mueller through the TerraCycle Bausch + Lomb ONE by ONE Free Recycling Program.

A neighbor put these in my Hard Plastics collection bin on my porch which I choose to provide as a City of Austin Zero Waste Block Leader. I take small hard plastics to @austinrecycles Hard Plastic station to be baled. There is no guarantee of catching everything with bailing, especially with very tiny things like this, which is why it is better to put contact lens materials in a collection program specifically for that material. Side note, I did not actually see contact lenses here so I hope that the lenses are also getting recycled, but maybe they’re being trashed right now.
Reminder: contact lenses are plastic and should not be put down the sink or the toilet.
