Most Party City’s are Closing – 100th Day

I was in charge of our class’ pinata for the 100th Day of School. Most of the Party City’s are going out of business and we have one near our house, which is where I actually like to get things for school so that will be sad.

While getting the pinata and contents, I saw the yard signs and I totally gave in to the mindset “they are on sale” so I bought some for the day.

They did not have any 1s left so we modified a 7!

My son was very excited to come up with the idea and execution so I was proud of him and he was quite proud of himself!

So we reused and repurposed the #7 yard sign and the school will be able to reuse this 100 every year going forward. I also reused metal sign holders from my recycling collection of political signs. Party City did not offer or have metal yard stakes for the yard signs.

I worked on finding more sturdy and usable contents for the pinata and not just breakable single use things. There’s small bubbles, bouncy balls, sticky bugs and things the kids really do have fun with and that will last longer. Y’all no one wants a pencil anymore, sorry.
