Cleaned out my spice drawer! Most spices expire max 4 years and some sooner than that. Only vanilla extract and salt are infinite.
Compost old spices and recycle or trash the packaging as appropriate.
If you went all in on spices during covid, it’s been about 4 years since the height of covid and so those spices are getting to their expiration date if they didn’t already meet them.
One of my friends will be rehoming these jars for me since I really don’t need them and I don’t want my cabinet packed full. If she didn’t want them, I was going to post them on Buy Nothing. And I’ve also seen jars at Austin Creative Reuse and of course thrift stores.
