Austin Creative Reuse 03-18-25

I found a seam ripper! Austin Creative Reuse had a seam ripper! I broke mine trying to remove handles from luggage. They also had all three colors of thread I wanted for mending. I walked around and looked at everything for ideas for Easter basket egg filler and basket filler. I will use the ribbon on the basket handle. I’ve been tasked with recreating a Bluey Easter. I also found this beautiful red stone necklace! I love red and stones so it’s very exciting!

📿 Bead necklace, stone $4

🧵Thread $0.50 each

🎀 Ribbon $0.50

✂️Seam ripper $0.25

🍫 Smore bead $1

I also want to share the eggs/plastics section of ACR. They take so much stuff for any creative idea someone could possibly have! It’s great!

Here’s a seam ripper from HEB. I would prefer to get a bulk/loose one at Austin Creative Reuse, but they don’t always have these and you may not have a small business sewing center near you.

It’s relatively inexpensive if this is more convenient for you which I totally get as well. Better to repair something than just throw it out if there’s a rip or lost button.

Don’t forget to recycle the paper backing.
