Gift cards are the way we go for birthdays.
My son has a birthday party today and we give gift cards so kids can get what they want, and we support a local business that the birthday family might not have explored before.
We went to Terra Toys this week to get the gift card and Boopy Jr came in too (he’s our stuffed dinosaur). Terra Toys is a fun place to explore and I knew they didn’t sell Boopy Jr. so he was safe to come in. If he had been a toy they sell, I would have gone to the desk and asked for a sticker or staff acknowledgment of Boopy Jr. coming in with us. One of the fun things we do is interact with our environment using my son’s stuffies. It took quite a while to find a vehicle that Boopy Jr. could fit in! He was a great cheerleader for our chess game.
We also get a snack, play our version of chess, check out the seasonal display, and look at any new books we might be interested in. It’s a good two hour experience for us to hang out together and support the store.
