I have a new porch bin to collect for my neighbors: crafts and school/office supplies for Austin Creative Reuse. All my bins and bricks are donated/reused as is the duct tape. The laminator is secondhand and keeps the signs protected from the weather. Duct tape is the only tape that seems to hold up in the sun and it will still breakdown into microplastics. Permanent marker on the plastic fades really fast though, so I’m still working on the best way to label the tubs and bins. The containers have bricks inside them to keep the bins from blowing away/moving around.

The sign on the front on the bin is the Accepted Donation List from Austin Creative Reuse. They get so many materials they have to limit donations to a certain extent.
Make sure to pre-sort and bind donations:

Here’s the post to my neighborhood Facebook Group:
Zero Waste: New Bin – Austin Creative Reuse = Their List Only
Happy Earth Month! I’ll accept small amounts of the following items on my porch and schedule a drop-off appointment at Austin Creative Reuse. I know for me, the appointment process and delay has made it harder to clear out these items right when you want to, so I hope this helps.
If you have appointment and would like to grab the items off my porch (but not my bin please) to take them that would be super helpful! Thank you bin donators!
Drop-off small amounts. Please bind, secure, group items. https://austincreativereuse.org/material-donations.
