Reuse Your Green for St. Patrick’s Day

It’s St. Patrick’s Day today. Make sure to reuse your green! Reuse green that you already have for St. Patrick’s Day, don’t buy new. And stay away from shamrocks, they tend to be a single-use/single holiday symbol. If you want to buy/borrow/find green, find plain green that is more general use. Having general green that can be reused and repurposed for multiple holidays is going to be much more “green” and zero waste than shamrock things.

Generally agreed upon green holidays:

St. Patrick’s Day

Mardi Gras

spring

summer

Easter (usually paler or lighter greens but still)

Earth Day: don’t wear plastic beads and single use/single holiday items since they’re not Earth friendly.

Fall (think all the colors of leaves as they change)

Halloween (pumpkin stems, zombies, slime, etc.)

Kwanzaa

Christmas

Your state or country flag/founding days

Spirit days

Your school colors
