🧶🧤🧦🧣Hey knitters and crocheters! Check this out!
💚 I love this idea because if you want to be creative, but you can’t use everything you make and you aren’t sure who can use what you make, this gives you a goal and a place to support.
🧶Wool-Aid campaigns are primarily item-based rather than geared to a specific organization. This allows us much-needed flexibility to meet the needs of recipient organizations as we become aware of them. In the past, Wool-Aid has sent warm woolen items to children in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Mongolia; to young monks and young nuns living in remote mountainous areas of India; to refugee children living in Greece, Lebanon, and Jordan; to both young monks and orphan or nomad children living in Tibet; and, more recently, to asylum seekers in tent cities and shelters at the southern border of the U.S.
Wool-Aid Needs🧦🧤🧣:
Based on what our recipient organizations need most, our priority for items is as follows:
Hats
Mittens
Blankets
Sweaters
Vests
Socks
