Rehoming a Vintage Wedding Dress

Today I posted the following on my social media platforms:

Inquiry: what would you do with this vintage wedding dress? All the Angel Wings’ programs for Angel Dresses seems swamped with dresses and aren’t accepting them? Would you try to sell it to a vintage store, post on Buy Nothing, or just donate it to a thrift store?

One of my declutter clients has this and no one in the family wants it. I did go ahead and open it. It’s a size 10 and has been in a climate-controlled storage unit. It’s probably in good condition to wear.

My client recommended Angel Wings, which I had never heard of. This is group of seamstresses that sew Angel Dresses. Quoting from Angel Wings of Lake Travis, “We are a small group of women who come together in an effort to help ease the pain of families who have suffered the unimaginable loss of their newborn babies.

Angel gowns are made from donated wedding dresses. We provide these beautiful garments free of charge to grieving families. We create beautiful gowns for all sizes of babies. ” Most of the other Angel Wings I found are also full of dresses. So I’m not sure what to do.

I leave it here with you all right now and I’ll keep you posted.
