Tabling at Pollinator Day 2026

Prepping for the 5th annual Plant a Pollinator Garden. This is my 4th time at a table. We changed parks this year since another area needed a pollinator garden and it was a great opportunity to provide event equity in the neighborhood. There are 11 parks in Mueller and it was good to work a new one. This time we were by a senior apartment complex and there is no playground at this park so we had a very different demographic that normally attends but excellent turnout!

I needed to update my table presentation. After the Care of Creation Fair 2025: An Earth Day Type Event I decided I needed new material to get more engagement and interest in my table and what I have to say. So maybe about 2 years I can get a good reaction to the setup before I need to change it up.
I decided to focus on composting since we can always increase what goes in the carts and I’d been having a lot of conversations where people were like, “I didn’t know!” I also wanted to include sustainable swaps since that’s important to me and The Plastic Detox had just come out on Netflix. It was a good thing I did because I had a lot of people stop by to ask about reducing plastic in their lives.

They event provided shirts to the booths which was cool. It’s rare to get a color event shirt let alone a red one so it was pretty exciting!
