Butternut squash, pumpkin, pulpy stuff scooping is made easier with a sugar spoon or grapefruit spoon.

I preferred the sugar spoon and the scalloped edges to help scrape the stringy pulp out of my butternut squash.

Yes, I did go pull seeds out of my compost after the video for my son to plant for later especially since my husband and son are now big fans of butternut squash. I also use the sugar spoon when we carve our pumpkins.

This squash is going to cook in the instant pot and then the skin will be composted in my kitchen composter that will then get put in my curbside compost cart.
