Can't Remove the Laser Engraving on This Cup

My attempts to remove what appears to be laser engraving on this glass did not work.
I found this glass at a client’s house today when we were decluttering. It’s going to be a great water cup for the bathroom!
Someone shared on my TikTok that it is engraved and there would be a whole melting reheating process, basically way too labor intensive especially since I do not have ready access to a kiln. Oh well, free nice glass cup for water!
