Let’s remember what we’re saving.
We went on a family nature walk using Austin Wildlife Rescue‘s Junior Wildlife Rescuer Activity Book. I pulled out the Neighborhood Bingo, put it on a clipboard, my son picked out his marker, and off we went. Firey, the Red Frilled-Neck Lizard came along. This is a great way to notice what lives in our area, what isn’t directly in our neighborhood but in Austin, to notice what’s not on the list: we saw a frog jumping down the sidewalk with a worm hanging out of its mouth!
, and to enjoy each other’s company, and be aware of what we’re working to take care of.
