Make a little mending kit with the most popular colors that you wear so you can fix a seam or a button when you need to.
Here’s a mending kit from HEB. Who has all these colors? Plus you have to process the packaging. I’d rather get more and only what I need from bulk/loose stuff at Austin Creative Reuse. That’s my green answer.
It’s relatively inexpensive if this is more convenient for you which I totally get as well. Better to repair something than just throw it out if there’s a rip or lost button.
Don’t forget to get a couple different sizes of needles and good sewing/fabric scissors.
