Free Goggles: Summer Supplies Clean Out

Don’t forget to go through your summer supplies and re-home what doesn’t fit anymore.

We have toddler goggles that need a new home that we in fact reused from those left and forgotten at the neighborhood pool. My family has created a rule for our neighborhood: if it’s left in the same spot for three visits to the site, it becomes ours and we’ll re-home it. A lot of stuff gets left at the pool. I recommend you write your name or a word on your items and them do an inventory check before you leave.

Not only did I reuse scrap paper but I also reused a kiwi tub for this share as well. I posted on my neighborhood and Buy Nothing Facebook groups. You may also want to try your school, daycare or play groups or ask your local library. Many Austin Public Library branches have a “Free” section where you can leave small things patrons may appreciate. It’s usually bookmarks, calendars or magazines, but you never know.

Please clean and repair items before you share. They’ll last longer and get used more often.
