If you have spent some of this quarantine time cleaning out your craft and gift area, exciting news from Austin Creative Reuse this week: they are now taking appointments for donation drop off!
If you need craft and art supplies, Austin Creative Reuse has an online store with curbside pickup.
This great local resource in Austin excepts donations of all craft, hobby, activity, and gift items to keep things out of the landfill and then offers them for extremely low prices (things almost seem free). It’s a great business model, a super way to conserve resources, a great local opportunity for kids to shop, and a blessing for individuals to try out new hobbies at a fraction of what setting up a new hobby or craft typically costs a person.
Make sure you check their website for the current list of acceptable donations and what they cannot or do not accept at this point.
They are only accepting donations by appointment right now, they will not accept walk-ups.
They also have changed location (they outgrew their old space!), so if you haven’t been since March, you’ll need to check the address because they moved.
Do you have any kind of business or entity in your area that repurposes and resells craft and hobby items? Please share!
