Please do not buy confetti balloons.
If you must, please do not pop them outside.
If you pop them outside, do not do it on a windy day and pickup/vacuum all the confetti.
I did a campus cleanup at my son’s school last month and I was still finding confetti in the grass four months later.
Confetti is plastic and will not decompose. It just breaks down into microplastics and stays in the soil.
My son is even bringing it home now from school and it ended up in my lint trap.
Please say no to confetti and glitter. It’s plastic and stays around forever. There are paper and “environmentally friendly” options but you have to special order those and they usually come in plastic bags. That defeats the purpose. Thanks!
