Plastic Coolers can’t recycled so please take care of them, donate or share them if you aren’t using them, and keep them maintained and in use.
NOTE on the Featured Image: The exterior crack does not affect the cooling aspect of the example cooler so we still use this cooler.
TIP: I do not recommend you keep shuffling these around moves and garages as that is what seems to damage them. Use them or donate them to people who will.
TIP: The traditional orange 5 gallon water jug cooler is great for people who work outside a lot like field employees at the city, construction workers, landscapers, etc. so I do recommend you offer them up on your local Buy Nothing or other social/online groups. We used two for years as part of a local milk coop with is another great use for them, one at home and one at the milk provider to fill up.
If they are super broken put them in the trash can, don’t wish-cycle them into a recycling system.
