I’m helping someone downsize and this was a heavy unused Shark brand vacuum they had in their utility closet. I posted in on my local Buy Nothing Facebook group and a lady near me said her Shark, the exact same one, had just died and she’d love to have this one!
I made sure it turned on, I plugged it in, but I didn’t check if it sucked which would have been nice. She said she’d try it out and if it didn’t work she’s use it for parts to fix her other Shark. I offered to recycle whatever she had left. I can go to the Austin Recycle and Reuse Drop-off Center as a Zero Waste Block Leader to recycled electronics, but anyone can use a Goodwill or Best Buy to recycle broken electronics which are things that had a cord, used a battery or have a computer chip
