Austin Wildlife Rescue Drop Off 02-13-25

We had three bags, two garbage and one grocery, to drop off at the Austin Wildlife Rescue Center on this day. This is a catch up post so it’s out of date order. It is important to share it because there is so much material out there that can be reused and appreciated, we just need to get it to the right place.

These included towels and bed sheet sets. I collect these in a tub on my porch as a Zero Waste Block Leader for the City of Austin and then my son and I drop them off at the AWR for them to use as bedding for the animals.

Getting your kids involved is a great way for them to learn by example and doing. Explaining how we support AWR and what they do there, my son has become more aware of the animals we see when we’re out and about.
